How does this work if I want to keep my antivirus software? I currently run CA antivirus and I want to keep it just to be safe. I find it hard to believe any operating system can be completely immune to virus attacks

I am gland to see that you enjoyed using ubuntu.
There are other Linux distributions that are base on ubuntu, for example Linux Mint and Zorin os which tries to emulate the windows GUI. There is another ubuntu Linux os which looks exactly like windows xp it is called Ylmf OS it available in both Chinese and English languages. I hope you continue to enjoy using Linux and the many flavors it has to offer.
